Discover Palm Beach County Earns Awards of Excellence-Corporate & Incentive Travel Magazine Recognizes Top Convention & Visitors Bureaus in U.S.-
THE PALM BEACHES, Fla. (December 10, 2013) - Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine recognized Discover Palm Beach County (DPBC) as one of only 20 destination marketing organizations in the United States - and only one of three in Florida - to receive the prestigious 2013 Awards of Excellence. Voted on by the magazine's 40,000 subscribers, the award recognizes agencies for superior service and support, promotional assistance, high-level of supplier facilities and venue information, coordination and liaison with local attractions and transportation and comprehensive assistance with accommodations and site inspections.
"This award is particularly meaningful to Discover Palm Beach County because it reflects the opinions of thousands of satisfied meeting professionals," said Discover Palm Beach County President and CEO Jorge Pesquera. "The award is a true testament to the superior staff, facilities and overall excellence in the assisting planners that we pride ourselves on as a meetings destination."
Subscribers of Corporate & Incentive Travel were offered the opportunity to vote via an open ballot in the May issue of the magazine. Only ballots from meeting professionals were accepted.
Throughout the destination, The Palm Beaches present an exceptional array of venues for any event, with more than 200 hotels offering a combined total of one million square feet of meeting space. Located in the heart of the destination's Entertainment District, the two-level Convention Center is just three miles from the Palm Beach International Airport and is the site of the new Hilton Convention Center Hotel set to be complete in 2015.
