  Discover Palm Beach County Unveils new Logo and wordmark for The Palm Beaches

THE PALM BEACHES, Fla. (January 8, 2014) - Discover Palm Beach County (DPBC) officially unveiled the brand application for the new tourism identity, Discover The Palm Beaches Florida,
during yesterday's Sneak Preview Event. 

"I am absolutely thrilled with our new mark - it truly captures the soul of our destination," said Jorge Pesquera, President and CEO of Discover Palm Beach County. "This is the culmination of a rigorous strategy that took us from an in-depth brand assessment to the brand promise, and finally the selection of the tourism and organization identities that best resonated with customers and stakeholders. This is a great visual platform to carry our tourism industry into new levels of excellence and growth. This new look responds to the significant challenge posed by the size and diversity of Palm Beach County and its unique collection of tourism cities and towns; from Jupiter to Boca Raton and from Palm Beach to Wellington and the Glades."

"DPBC's staff worked diligently with its new creative agency of record, Levatas, in the development of wordmarks and logos that reflect the true nature of The Palm Beaches," said Shirley Talbert, Chief Marketing Officer of Discover Palm Beach County. "The logo incorporates a ‘palmscape' graphic and tropical colors to accurately reflect the destination's water blues, eco greens, golden beaches and sunny sky."

The new tourism identity was unanimously approved by the DPBC Board, the Tourist Development Council and the Board of County Commissioners in September and October 2013. The graphics, logos and visuals will be progressively integrated into all marketing materials.

DPBC also unveiled the brand application for the organization identity, Discover Palm Beach County, The Official Tourism Marketing Corporation for The Palm Beaches. The organizational brand application coincides with the tourism identity, bringing a sense of integration, simplicity and heightened awareness as DPBC markets to customers and engages hospitality partners with one logo and one brand.
