WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2015) - Discover The Palm Beaches invites travelers to diversify their end-of-summer visit to The Palm Beaches by heading inside to explore a diverse mix of available indoor adventures. Discover treasured history on display in local museums, rejuvenate the mind, body and soul at award-winning spas, eat like royalty at restaurants serving the best in fresh South Florida produce or partake in retail therapy.

Here is a sampling of indoor adventures available in The Palm Beaches:


Palm Beach International Airport - Upon arriving at The Palm Beaches' gateway airport (PBI) or before concluding a stay, unwind with a round of golf at the airport's 8-hole putting green, or relax at Comfort Zone Spa, a full-service day spa and salon.


Art After Dark - The Norton Museum of Art invites visitors to this weekly offering every Thursday evening. Culture and entertainment combine with varied programming that includes music of all genres, conversations with curators, docent-led tours, art activities, film, dance, wine tastings and
chef demonstrations.

Flagler Museum - Travel back in time on a visit to Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach. View exhibits on this Florida pioneer's life, and explore the Flagler Kenan Pavilion, designed in the style of a 19th century Beaux Arts railway palace.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum - Climb to the top of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse for a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. Since 1860, its light has guided countless travelers, making it one of The Palm Beaches' most historic buildings. Discover the lighthouse's important past in the waterfront History Museum and the restored WWII Naval quarters building.

Kravis Center for the Performing Arts - This West Palm Beach cultural campus is home to some of South Florida's best cultural performances, from ballet to Broadway musicals, opera to jazz. This September 18, watch the comedic stylings of Rodney Carrington, a comedian and actor who brings country flare to his regularly sold-out comedy performances. Watch John Cheese and Eric Idle as they perform together on October 7, or enjoy laughs from Jerry Seinfeld on October 16-17.

South Florida Science Center and Aquarium - Parents can educate and engage their children in the joys of science through the Center's 50+ hands-on exhibits, its 8,000-gallon fresh and salt water aquarium, a digital planetarium and an interactive Everglades display. Witness how the magic is made with a candy production tour, or enjoy the family fun of a Hoffman's Children's Chocolatier Class.

Kitchen - Chef Matthew Byrne, Tiger Woods' former personal chef, treats this restaurant's kitchen as an extension of his home cooking space, serving comfort fare in an intimate environment. Try his favorite dish: chicken schnitzel with radish, sweet onion, mushrooms and arugula topped with a fried egg.

Max's Harvest - Celebrating more than 20 years in The Palm Beaches, Max's Grille puts a new spin on traditional American cuisine with an innovated bistro-style menu that pairs simple, sophisticated flavors with locally grown produce, meat and seafood.
