FORMER BOYNTON BEACH CHAMBER PRESIDENT JOINS PALM BEACH COUNTY CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
The Palm Beaches, FL (January 31, 2012)- The Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) today announced the appointment of executive administration and finance specialist, Glenn Jergensen, as Senior Vice President of Operations- a new position for the CVB created in an effort to manage growing fiscal, administrative, contractual and visitor-related service functions.
Having worked in a similar capacity for two Fortune 100 companies before his most recent position as president and CEO of the Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce, Jergensen brings more than 30 years of business administration and operational expertise to the CVB to support the organization as it continues to develop innovative sales and marketing programs, expand industry engagement, apply new technologies, grow into new markets, and procure necessary supplier services to implement these changes.
Jergensen received a degree in Business Administration from Bryant College in Providence, Rhode Island before joining Collyer Insulated Wire (a Division of Gulf + Western Industries). In 1981, he joined
Motorola, where he spent 22 years before his Chamber involvement in 2003. His position with the CVB will commence in March 2012.
