WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 23, 2015) - Summer is the perfect time for families to unplug and reconnect in The Palm Beaches. In addition to the sand and surf stretching along 47 miles of pristine Atlantic coastline, a collection of unexpected family attractions await to be discovered.

• Adventure Mini Golf
The family-fun facility is an adventure style mini-golf with two 18-hole miniature golf courses featuring cascading waterfalls, rapids, fountains, interactive waterholes, plus a snack bar and game room.
• Black Sparrow Pirates
Black Sparrow Pirates is a 90-minute interactive cruise around the Intracoastal Waterway. On board activities for families include learning basic nautical terms, hoisting the Jolly Roger, building a treasure map, finding a message in a bottle, defending the ship against invading pirates with water cannons, and find the "X" where the sunken treasure lies.
• Blue Heron Fleet LLC
Delivering family fun for more than 50 years, Blue Heron Fleet LLC offers some of the largest and most comfortable fishing vessels available in The Palm Beaches. Excellent fishing year-round off the Palm Beaches can be experienced from the comforts of cushioned seating at both Jupiter and Riviera Beach.
With miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing and more, Boomers in Boca Raton offers a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Crank up some friendly competition and check out the Thunder Road Go-Karts fit for two. • Diva Duck Tours
This 75-minute adventure includes a complete land and sea tour starting at CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach. The musical tour explores must-see landmarks, including the Society of Four Arts and Flagler Museum, and seaside views on the Intracoastal Waterway with full narration.
• Flagler Museum
Take a trip back in time with a visit to Whitehall, Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach. View exhibits on the history of Henry Flagler's life and career. Explore Flagler Kenan Pavilion, designed in the style of a 19th century Beaux Arts railway palace, which houses Henry Flagler's private railcar. Discover the Museum's temporary exhibit gallery which features materials on topics related to Florida history and America's Gilded Age. Guided tours, audio tours, printed self-guided brochures and the Flagler Museum Audio Tour are available, included with Museum admission.
• Fun Depot
The Fun Depot in Lake Worth is a family owned facility holding high standards for safety, quality and fun. This action packed amusement center is known for its half-mile Go-Kart speedway full of twists and turns. Check out Family Fun Nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays for special discounts on rides and arcade games.
• Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
This cooperative project of the City of Boca Raton, Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and Friends of Gumbo Limbo, hosts environmental programs for all ages, as well as sea turtle-themed activities and events. This includes sea turtle summer camps, turtle walks, hatchling release observations and free outdoor marine feedings.
• Hoffman's Chocolate Factory
Located in Greenacres, Fla., Hoffman's is a nationally recognized chocolate factory with over 90 varieties of chocolate and confections with a gourmet ice cream and coffee bar. Hoffman's offers unique novelties and customized gift items for every occasion. Watch candy production weekdays or send the kids to a Children's Chocolatier Class.
• John D. MacArthur Beach State Park
Established in 1989, MacArthur Beach State Park is the only state park within the county of Palm Beach. Explore the natural habitats of coastal wildlife on organized nature walks or engage in many of the educational programs it offers on site. Snorkeling and swimming are just a few of the aquatic activities available at the park.
• Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum offers guided tours of the circa 1860 landmark Jupiter Light. Wander through the waterfront History Museum located in the restored WWII Naval housing quarters building. Outside, visit the Lighthouse Keeper's Workshop, Tindall Pioneer Homestead and Seminole Chickees.
• Kravis Center for the Performing Arts
Offering performances from classical to the cutting-edge, including ballet, pop, jazz, Broadway, opera and more, The Kravis Center is one of the premier performing arts centers in the Southeast. True to the spirit in which it was created, the Center is expanding programming by initiating projects on local, national and international levels. This August, catch Big Bang XIX, a dance production by Sean's Dance Factory, and a revival of the Tony Award-winning musical, Side By Side by Sondheim.
• Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf
Lighthouse Cove is Palm Beach County's premier miniature golf experience, with 36 exciting holes exploring both the nautical wildlife and history of Jupiter. Located on A1A just one block from the beach, Lighthouse Cove offers premium burgers, local craft beers, and hand spun shakes at The Burger Shack at Lighthouse Cove along with 16 flavors of delicious ice cream at 3 Scoops.
• Lion Country Safari
See more than 900 wild animals, such as lions, giraffe, zebras, ostrich and rhinos, on a South Florida Safari. After taking the four-mile drive safari, explore Safari World Amusement Park with rides, animal shows, giraffe and bird encounters, a water "spray" ground with waterslides, as well as dozens of animal exhibits.
• Loggerhead Marinelife Center
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is an ocean conservation organization and sea turtle hospital located adjacent to Juno Beach, one of the most important sea turtle nesting beaches in the world. The Center serves as a sea turtle rehabilitation hospital, with staff leading specialty tours to see these gentle giants coming to nest between April and October each year.
• Loxahatchee Everglades Tours, Inc.
Take an airboat tour into Florida's iconic Everglades and glide over a "River of Grass" while learning about local flora and fauna along the way. Daily tours depart hourly starting at 10:00 a.m. and the last tour departs at 4:00 p.m.
• National Croquet Center
Learn to play croquet at The National Croquet Center, the largest croquet complex in the world. Easy to learn, croquet combines "intense" competition, strategic planning and raucous laughter. Free lessons and court time areas are available every Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. for beginners or by reservation daily.
• Palm Beach Eco Tours
Palm Beach Eco Tours offers handicapped-accessible fishing charters, evening cruises, snorkeling adventures and summer camps. Its new vessel, the Thea Marie, has been custom-designed with a loading ramp, bathroom and rounded sides to accommodate wheelchairs. The South Florida Science Center has established a full hands-on science center, aquarium, planetarium, observatory and more. It maintains variety with both its permanent and traveling exhibits. There are family-oriented activities for all ages including adult lecture series throughout the year. The facility is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
