Hospitality and Tourism Organizations Unite To Host Inaugural Hospitality Industry Ice Breaker at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, July 22

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 16, 2015) - Discover The Palm Beaches joins several hospitality and tourism organizations to host the inaugural Hospitality Industry Icebreaker at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium on Wednesday, July 22 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., in an effort to promote and celebrate travel and tourism to the destination. The event will give more than 200 industry representatives the opportunity to network and get to know the benefits and programs of the various tourism entities within The Palm Beaches.

"Tourism generates an annual $7.1 billion economic impact to The Palm Beaches every year, and supports more than 60,000 jobs," said Jorge Pesquera, CEO and President of Discover The Palm Beaches. "Uniting these hoteliers, restaurateurs, and wide range of travel and tourism professionals at this inaugural Hospitality Industry Icebreaker is a great way to build bridges, understand each other's agendas and align our hospitality community behind our destination brand promise and strategies to attract new visitors, conventions and groups. It's about internalizing why Palm Beach County is the Best Way to Experience Florida."

The host committee is composed of 10 organizations, including the Concierge Association of The Palm Beaches, Discover The Palm Beaches, Florida Atlantic University Hospitality Management, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association - Palm Beach Chapter, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International - South Florida Chapter, Meeting Professionals International - South Florida Chapter, National Association of Wedding Professionals of The Palm Beaches, Palm Beach County Attractions Association, Palm Beach County Hotel & Lodging Association, and Skal International Ft Lauderdale & Palm Beaches.

Tickets cost $30 for partners of Discover The Palm Beaches or $40 for non-partners.
