International Gay Polo Tournament Returns to Wellington

THE PALM BEACHES, Fla. (March 24, 2014) - In its fifth year, the International Gay Polo Tournament returns to The Palm Beaches' west-central community of Wellington, one of the top three places for polo and equestrian activity in the world, for an exciting weekend of competition among some of the league's top players. Friday, April 4, marks the first rounds of polo at Grand Champions Polo Club followed by an evening cocktail party at the inaugural GPL Polotini Party at the International Polo Club. The excitement continues with the final games on Saturday, April 5, complete with tailgating and VIP experiences. Tickets are available at the show or online at www.gaypolo.com.
The Colony Hotel Palm Beach, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, and the Hampton Inn & Suites Wellington are each offering special two- and three-night packages for the ultimate polo experience.
The two-night package at each hotel includes two tickets for the Friday Night GPL Polotini Party at the International Polo Club, a VIP Tailgate at the Finals, access to a meet-and-greet with players, Champagne Brunch at the International Polo Club, and a choice of complimentary shuttle transfers to matches and parties or complimentary parking
at events for guests booking April 4-6.
The three-night package, available for guests booking April 3-6, includes two tickets for a welcome cocktail party, tour of Wellington's horse mansions and Polo Museum, traditional Argentinian Asado barbeque lunch, professional polo demonstration, and tickets to the Friday preliminary rounds, in addition to the great amenities provided in the two-night package.
In addition to the hotels offering the two- and three-night packages, the Hampton Inn West Palm Beach Lake Worth-Turnpike location is offering different packages starting at just $410 per person for a two-night stay, general admission tickets to the finals and complimentary transportation or parking.
Polo Season runs January through April in The Palm Beaches with weekly matches between the world's top teams and Sunday's high goal tournaments with Champagne Brunch serving as the epicenter of social activity among Palm Beaches' elite. The Maserati U.S. Open Championship, the final match of the 2014 season is Sunday, April 20 at International Polo Club.
