Keep those wellness New Year Resolutions alive in The Palm Beaches, Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2015) -At a time of year when the resolve and determination behind many wellness resolutions starts to fade, turn to The Palm Beaches to keep that positive spirit going with a wellness escape to south Florida.

A subtropical vacation is a great way to rejuvenate a fading resolution, and The Palm Beaches cater to that with multiple ways to rediscover balance, wellness, family time, and natural wonder.

"We really believe in the philosophies of wellness and mindfulness,'" says Jorge Pesquera, President and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches. "A vacation at this time of year has a rejuvenating effect - especially to a beach destination known for its exquisite spas, wellness opportunities and relaxing pace."

When it comes to spa wellness in 2015, very few places can match the offerings of The Palm Beaches. The destination is home to four of Condé Nast Traveler's Top 25 spas in the United States, including No. 1-ranked Boca Beach Club at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. This exclusive list also has Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach at No. 6, Eau Spa Palm Beach at No. 13, and PGA National Resort & Spa at No. 25.

For a more intense focus on wellness, nutrition counseling, and youth-enhancing therapies, the world-renowned Hippocrates Health Institute welcomes guests to its tropical 50-acre setting in West Palm Beach. Under the guidance of experts, guests from all over the world benefit from health and nutritional counseling, non-invasive remedial therapies, cutting edge spa services, inspiring talks on life principles and a daily buffet of enzyme-rich organic meals.

Yoga has also taken a prominent place in the modern-day wellness approach, and The Palm Beaches offer some interesting twists on this ancient practice of aligning mind, body and spirit. Try yoga on a paddleboard at Yoga on the Water (YOW), twilight yoga at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, or yoga by the ocean at Yoga at the Beach as well as several other locations within The Palm Beaches.

A new yoga initiative has begun at Kimpton's Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa, where all guests are now offered a complimentary yoga class led by James Hanlon. An acupuncture physician and herbalist, Hanlon has studied and practiced yoga for 20 years with a focus on the recovery of mind, body and soul. Classes are available Saturday and Sunday mornings in the resort's Garden Room.

Another oceanfront resort - The Breakers Palm Beach - recently unveiled a flagship fitness facility. The Breakers Ocean Fitness is a 6,000-square-foot, indoor-outdoor oceanfront experience, designed to helpindividuals reach their personal fitness goals in an inspiring setting with views of the Atlantic Ocean.
