PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND JETBLUE AIRWAYS TODAY ANNOUNCE INAGURAL DAILY, NON-STOP SERVICE BETWEEN HARTFORD AND THE PALM BEACHES
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (January 12, 2012) - Palm Beach International Airport's (PBIA) first nonstop daily flight between Hartford, Conn. and West Palm Beach via JetBlue Airways takes off today from Hartford-Springfield's Bradley International Airport (BDL) at 6 p.m., arriving at 9:02 p.m. Flights are on sale today through January 13, 2012 for as low as $104 each way for travel between January 26 and February 15, 2012.
The new service will bring an additional 55,000 airline seats into Palm Beach County annually, resulting in approximately 30,000 hotel room nights sold to thousands of new visitors. Direct visitor spending from this service is conservatively estimated to bring an additional $8 million dollars into the local economy.
"The commencement of this new daily service to Hartford emphasizes the confidence our airline partners see in our destination and an interest in the destination among travelers," said Palm Beach County Director of Airports Bruce Pelly. "We are thrilled to be welcoming passengers from Hartford and are confident they will be satisfied with this new JetBlue flight into PBIA."

JetBlue's new service will operate with the airline's 150-passenger Airbus A320, offering customers roomy leather seats, free snacks, and more than 100 channels of live satellite programming on personal seatback TVs. Flights depart PBIA at 2:30 p.m., scheduled to arrive at BDL at 5:16 p.m. and depart BDL at 6 p.m., arriving at PBIA at 9:02 p.m., each day.
