The Palm Beaches to host two premier golf tournaments this February

-Allianz Championship and The Honda Classic Bring Top Competitors to Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens-

THE PALM BEACHES, Fla. (January 31, 2014) - Each spring, The Palm Beaches of Florida draws golf enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels to enjoy two of golf's most exciting Championship events: the Allianz Championship and The Honda Classic.  As Florida's recognized Golf CapitalĀ®, The Palm Beaches are home to many of the sport's top competitors, and a favorite destination for competition, for players and spectators alike. 

Taking place in beautiful Boca Raton, the Allianz Championship (February 3-9) includes a week of events, including teaching clinics, a Women's Pro-Am Event and a family day, in addition to Championship Golf at The Old Course at Broken Sound. With more than 81 of the best Champions Tour professionals teeing off for a chance to bring home the $1.6 million purse, competition will be fierce at one of the county's premier golf courses. Several neighboring hotels are offering special event pricing for the tournament, including rates starting at just $89 each night at Best Western Palm Beach Lakes Inn.

Just two weeks after the excitement in Boca Raton, the PGA Tour stops in Palm Beach Gardens for The Honda Classic (February 24 - March 2) at The Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa. The schedule begins with a celebration at The Gardens Mall on Thursday, February 20 and continues with exciting events at the resort, such as the Miami Dolphins Pro-Am, Krank Golf Junior Clinic, After Play Concerts and fireworks displays. The first round of the tournament begins Thursday, February 27, with the final round taking place Sunday, March 2. Along with top PGA Professionals, Australian favorite Adam Scott will return to compete in the tournament
following a six-week break.
