The Palm Beaches Launch New Websites Targeting Colombian and Brazilian Visitors
Digital campaign focuses on two major Latin American markets

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (December 2, 2014) - Discover The Palm Beaches has launched a targeted digital campaign to drive additional Latin American visitors to the county. The launch of two websites, HolaPalmBeach.com (Spanish) and OlaPalmBeach.com (Portuguese) are being promoted through an interactive digital ad campaign targeting Colombia and Brazil. The websites promote the array of accommodations, shopping, fine dining, family attractions, beaches, outdoor adventures and events available throughout The Palm Beaches. The campaign's message is: "Visit The Palm Beaches and discover the best way to experience Florida."

"The campaign's goal is to increase awareness and consideration of The Palm Beaches as a top vacation destination among Latin American travelers," said Jorge Pesquera, President and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches. "There are nearly 800 flights per month arriving in South Florida from these two markets alone. We want to ensure these visitors learn how close we are to Miami and Orlando and how easy it is to get here. We also want them to learn about the amazing variety of experiences available throughout The Palm Beaches."

Visit Florida has identified Brazil and Colombia as two of the highest international growth markets. Visitors from these countries tend to stay longer and spend more than other visitors. While Discover The Palm Beaches is capitalizing on the exponential growth in visitors from South America, Discover continues to also target Germany, the United Kingdom and Canada. These five countries account for much of the international visitation growth within Palm Beach County as well as the State of Florida.

Since launching in summer 2014, the campaign has generated 53,000 site visits with nearly 7.5 million impressions for HolaPalmBeach.com, and 28,808 site visits with 7 million impressions for OlaPalmBeach.com.

The related ad campaign guides readers through a quiz called "Find out what kind of tourist you are." Questions within the quiz seek to determine what Latin American visitors are most interested in obtaining from their vacation experience. The answer then leads them to relevant pages of the website with more information on corresponding or related activities in the destination.
