Legends and Legendary

As in the past, spring brings golfing greats to The Palm Beaches - Florida's Golf Capital®. From February 24 - March 2, The Champion Course at The PGA National Resort & Spa will once again host the celebrated Honda Classic, a premier event on the PGA TOUR.

The likes of Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy have competed for purses of more than $5 million at Honda Classic. The infamous Bear Trap, which spans three demanding holes on the Champion’s course is known to have “one of the toughest stretches in golf,” according to USA Today and is considered by the PGA TOUR to be the toughest course in Florida. It's a must-play on every avid golfer's list.

There's even more to do after the last putt has drained the cup. Listen to some tunes with the After Play Concert Series, see explosive fireworks and be sure to bring the budding golfers to the Kids Zone - or be a kid yourself inside the Autograph Zone.

All-Around Allianz

Rocco Mediate just celebrated a birthday and is ready to celebrate again as he defends his official PGA Champions Tour Title at the Allianz Championship February 3-9, at the Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton.

If names like Tom Kite, Freddie Couples, Corey Pavin or Davis Love III sound familiar to you, then you know the caliber of professionals who highlight this event. Televised on the Golf Channel, this tourney brings together many former PGA Tour players and tournament winners.

Admission is free for the practice rounds and Pro-Am tournament, taking place Monday - Thursday. For the Championship Play, admission for fans under 17 and over 65 is complimentary. The Old Course at Broken Sound features rolling fairways and the beauty of the largest stand of native Florida maple trees in the county. So enjoy the scenery, enjoy the golf and enjoy all the scheduled events at this year’s Allianz. See ya on the links!
