The Town of Gulf Stream is located in the southern portion of eastern Palm Beach County. The Town encompasses 0.8 square miles and is bordered by the City of Boynton Beach on the north and west and City of Delray Beach on the south. The Atlantic Ocean lies adjacent to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway lies to the west.

The Town of Gulf Stream is a small predominantly residential community.
