Incorporated in 1950 the Town of Haverhill is located in the central portion of eastern Palm Beach County with West Palm Beach to the north and Royal Palm Beach to the west. The Town of Haverhill is a predominately single family residential development.

The town has two recreational areas located within its boundaries; Haverhill Park operated by Palm Beach County and Tommy J. Plyler Ballfield operated by the Town of Haverhill.
