Tourism Industry in The Palm Beaches Intact and Back To Business After Hurricane Matthew

Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing corporation for Palm Beach County, has been closely monitoring the reports on ground conditions following Hurricane Matthew’s impact on America’s First Resort Destination®. Due to the eye of the storm’s “wobble” to the east, The Palm Beaches were fortunate to experience no significant damage or incidents. Traffic is back to normal and minor cleanup activities are taking place throughout the area. The county is no longer under any warnings, and the mandatory evacuation notice was lifted this morning.

While The Palm Beaches are on the path to regaining normalcy for its residents and visitors, our collective heart goes out neighboring coastal communities that are experiencing the wrath of Hurricane Matthew as it continues its way north. Several hoteliers across The Palm Beaches are offering special rates for those in need of shelter and accommodations. For a list of hotels with availability, please see the list of open hotel and lodging options, below, and contact directly for rates.

Updates regarding tourism specific entities in The Palm Beaches are as follows:
