POSITION: Manager, eMail Marketing
SUMMARY: This full-time position is responsible for the optimization of the email marketing system and the customer relationship management (CRM) system to reach and influence customer visitation and engage members/partners in destination marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include support for online marketing initiatives, content building of website content management system (CMS) and marketing project coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
Overall:
- Education (4-year degree) in business, marketing, hospitality at minimum
- Experience in travel, tourism and hospitality industry is a major advantage
- Conversational in Spanish, Portuguese, German and/or French is an advantage
Email Marketing:
- Three to five years experience and expert knowledge of email marketing systems
- Demonstrated success with consumer and B2B audiences in managing integrated email and online marketing programs from concept to completion
- Ability to build electronic communications that adhere to brand standards
Internet/Websites/CRM:
- One to two years Internet marketing experience with solid understanding of the Internet as it relates to email marketing, promotions, websites, social networking, research and analytical tools
- Experience with CMS's and processes
- Knowledge of front end web development helpful
- Understanding and working knowledge of HTML
- Hands-on experience with CRM/database management
- Strategic CRM focus and can suggest creative solutions in line with business objectives
Skills:
- Required competency in Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop; proficient in MS Office and understanding of relational databases
- Ability to write clear, persuasive and clever promotional copy
- Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge on metrics; specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis
- Ability to be detail-oriented in a multi-tasking production environment with great organizational skills
- Self-motivated self-starting team player able to work independently with cooperative attitude
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task to complete assignments within predefined time limits
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, a teamwork mindset and a drive for results
- Must be well organized, a quick learner and be able to adapt to a changing environment
- Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide reasonable solutions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position reports to the Director of eMarketing but has no direct supervisory responsibility or direct reports. This position must regularly interface with all other marketing team members and other staff of the CVB.
