TDT Possible Changes

Florida Tourism Industry Needs Your Help

We have been monitoring very closely proposed changes to the Florida Statutes governing the use of bed tax funds. The changes being proposed pose one of the biggest threats to our tourism industry in recent memory. The key changes would negatively affect the industry by reducing the bed tax funds available to DMO's and other bed tax funded agencies. We will need your support in contacting your legisaltors and letting them know you oppose the proposed changes to the TDT. To view the entire list of TDT Proposed changes, click here. To contact your legislators, please see who is on the House Finance & Tax Committee and make the call today!

The event includes local teams of four chefs, a mixologist, a sommelier and a brewer. Tickets include a tour of the farm and hydroponic grow houses, beer, wine, and cocktails, live local entertainment and the ability to get to chat with a big-name local chef. Discover The Palm Beaches Brought Sunshine To Drizzly London

Making a bright splash beneath the grey skies of London, team members from Discover The Palm Beaches traveled to the UK last week in an effort to engage the market and raise awareness about the destination. Meetings with tour operators and travel journalists were held as a means to educate why The Palm Beaches are the best way to experience Florida. This “London Takeover” also included a two-day pop-up consumer activation, in conjunction with VISIT FLORIDA, with a fun street team and interactive performances by magician and comedian Christian L of BBC One’s The Slammer, where passing Londoners stopped to take photos in front of our destination backdrops and picked-up branded promotional items such as sunglasses, insulated cups and lip balm.

Chicago Sign

Discover The Palm Beaches has taken over Chicago at their bus stops and train stations during this frigid winter

“Chicago! Chicago!” Bringing Blue Skies From The Palm Beaches

This year marks Discover’s first for advertising the destination in the Chicago market. During the winter months, city residents and commuters leave their cars and walking shoes at home, opting for the public transit system to get them where they need to be. For this reason, DTPB focused much of its advertising spend across the rail and bus systems, particularly routes connecting the Lincoln Park neighborhood and the busy downtown area known as The Loop. The out-of-home media buy included a fully wrapped 60ft articulated bus, an interior train car wrap, 20 branded train cars, hundreds of posters on station platforms and inside of trains, and topping it off, a month-long advertising domination of the State & Lake platform in The Loop.
