100 Years of History
Downtown West Palm Beach is defined by its original mix of both national brands and local retailers; a menu of international dining destinations and nightlife; and top-flight cultural venues flavored with 100 years of history. The area's spectacular waterfront also adds to the view with fountains and graceful gardens. Three long public docks, including a floating pier with a "window" to an artificial reef, bring the water's edge to life.
Clematis District has defined itself as one of South Florida's favorite destinations for stylish and distinctive home furnishings and accessories. Pioneer Linens is famous for the finest luxury goods and a Downtown landmark open since 1912. The area is also home to several gyms and innovative fitness options as well as a number of spas and salons.
Dine or Dance
Dining and nightlife is an international experience in the Clematis District. From French, Greek and Italian to the ever popular American hamburger and steak, patrons can savor flavors from around the world. Hotspot nightlife destinations invite you to dance, while a rooftop restaurant and bar offers a different perspective on an evening of memorable excitement.
Live Music and Entertainment
Everyone can enjoy a multitude of weekly entertainment options, including a street party called Clematis by Night every Thursday, plus an open mic night for local talent to showcase their acts the third Tuesday each month. Historic Trolley Tours entertain and educate guests about the area's historical building and landmarks; a seasonal GreenMarket features fresh produce, baked goods and flowers on Saturday; and Sunday on the Waterfront offers live music and entertainment in an open-air venue.
