Boca Raton
Boca Raton is the second-largest city in The Palm Beaches and located in the southernmost region of the County. The city covers 30 square miles and boasts five miles of golden beaches.
The town of Boca Raton was incorporated in 1925 at the height of the Florida land boom. During this era, the town council commissioned Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner to plan a world-class resort community. Mizner's architectural influence survives today in some of the city's famed landmarks, including the Boca Raton Resort & Club, Mizner Park shopping complex and city hall.
Mizner Park's decorative walkways and fountains entice pedestrians to take leisurely strolls where various restaurants, cinemas and entertainment are enjoyed in a lush tropical atmosphere. Mizner Park is also home to the Boca Raton Museum of Art. The outdoor amphitheater at Mizner Park is the scene of numerous free concerts and various family recreational events throughout the year.
